What the association can and cannot do
Knowing the difference saves everyone time, and spares you a wait for an answer we are not able to give.
We can point you to the right office
If a letter has arrived and you are not sure what it asks for, or you cannot tell which office handles your health cover, write to us. Someone has almost certainly been through the same thing.
We can share what members have learned
Much of what is useful in retirement is not written down anywhere. It passes between members, and part of the association’s work is making sure it keeps doing so.
We cannot decide entitlements
Pension and insurance decisions rest with the Pension Fund and your former organisation. AFUNPR has no part in them and cannot change an outcome.
We cannot act on your behalf
Correspondence about your own benefit has to come from you. We can help you understand what to write and where to send it.
Joining, and sending in your writing
Membership is open to former staff of United Nations agencies in Indonesia. Members are also welcome to send in a piece of writing for the Member stories section.
